Ferdinand Ruled as emperor during 1556 to 1564, He became ruler after his brother Charles V. his brother Charles gave his son Philip the Spanish throne and his brother Ferdinand the holy roman empire. He gave Ferdinand the empire cause he knew more about the internal affairs. Charles split the power cause he drew alot of worry cause the Habsburgs controlled half of Europe.
